Sickbay is the main area of Jaguars medical facility. Everyday many people come in for treatment. If you had a problem you would just sit on one of the biobeds and wait for the Doctor to see you. When there is a large scale disaster the shuttle bays can be turned into treatment centers. The Doctor can rule the Captain unfit if he has a serious medical problem and can remove him from Command. In such a case the Commander on board would take control of the ship. If surgery was needed it would be done in the Surgery area.
